Not some kind of superhero but a human being

dimanche 28 décembre 2008, par J-M Bettembourg

Everybody knows the black history in the USA so, on the fifth of November, when we watched TV, how could we have imagined that the new president of this country will be a black man.

Nonetheless, since Obama’s victory in the Democratic Party against Hilary Clinton, for most of us, the election was already done. And now what ? Obama, president of the USA, president of the world ? It seems that lots of people think that Obama is going to change everything not because he’s Obama but more because he is a black man. Don’t forget that, even if this victory of Obama is probably the most important victory of black people as Martin Luther King had dreamt it fifty years before, Obama is just a human being and not some kind of superhero who will make all the problems of the world disappear, he already has to resolve the problems of his own country.

However, we can’t see the future so just let him do what he can do, and we will see.
