My opinion on Obama’s election

dimanche 28 décembre 2008, par J-M Bettembourg

I was born in an atheistic french family. Mc Cain has never been my cup of tea since religion is always part of his speech, that’s why I’ve always wanted Obama to be elected. At home, my parents didn’t want to follow the elections because they were bored with it. Obama was shown on the medias everyday and my relatives were not interested in him. I had to look on the internet two or three times a week to read about the primaries and on the hours before the elections, as we were on holidays, I listened to the radio at night. When I learnt Obama’s victory that was a great relief. That’s a great thing for the United States, and even if he doesn’t succeed in changing the United States’ situation that is to say the whole world’s situation, everyone will remember that day of November 2008.
